Party Meatballs with Cranberry Sauce (Crockpot)

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share with you this amazing recipe for cranberry meatballs. They are perfect for any occasion, whether it's a holiday party, a family dinner, or just a cozy night in. They are sweet, tangy, and savory, and they melt in your mouth. Plus, they are super easy to make, and you can use either ground beef or turkey, depending on your preference. Here's what you'll need:

Ingredients:

- 2 eggs, lightly beaten

- 1/3 cup of dry breadcrumbs

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 2 pounds ground beef or turkey

- 2 tablespoons cooking oil

- 1 can of jellied cranberry sauce (14 ounces)

- 1 bottle Heinz Chili sauce (12 ounces)

- 1/4 cup of water

- 1/4 cup of orange marmalade

- 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar

- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper. Then add the ground meat and mix well with your hands. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.

2. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Cook the meatballs turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 15 minutes. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

3. In a large pot, whisk together the cranberry sauce, chili sauce, water, marmalade, vinegar, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Add the meatballs to the sauce and toss to coat. Simmer for another 10 minutes, or until the sauce is thickened and the meatballs are heated through.

5. Enjoy your delicious cranberry meatballs! You can serve them as an appetizer with toothpicks, or as a main dish with rice or mashed potatoes. You can also keep them warm in a crockpot or freeze them in containers for later use.

Makes 4 dozen.
